Our passion for Lowline cattle started in 2013.
We began with a cow and calf from Wigram Lowline Stud in Mulgoa, NSW, to eat the grass on our small acreage in North-Western Sydney. Our family later moved a larger property near Orange, in the Central West, bordered by Angus cattle and merino sheep and crop paddocks. The change meant a rapid increase in cattle numbers, as there was now more grass than ever before to keep down!
What began as a passing interest in showing cattle has become a commercial enterprise, with our cattle highly sought after for their calm, tractable temperaments, calving ease and beef qualities.
Our cattle are handled regularly and many are shown or at least halter-broken. All our cattle are purebred Lowlines, and almost all are registered or eligible for registration.
We began with the Lowlines in the belief that we would produce one or two a year, to keep the horses company and to maybe generate some income. However, like most breeders, we have found them highly addictive and firmly believe in what we produce.
